Four young, fatherless brothers -- bike courier Dênis (João Baldasserini), soccer player Dario (Vinícius de Oliveira), the religious Dinho (José Geraldo Rodrigues) and the loner Reginaldo (Kaique Jesus Santos) -- struggle to make ends meet in the sprawling, overcrowded metropolis of São Paulo, Brazil. The stirring drama, co-directed by Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries, Central Station) and Daniela Thomas, was nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes.
