Lonely grocery cashier Rosalia (Julieta Ortega) immerses herself in fantasy stories to make the real world more bearable. Possessing telekinetic powers, she uses her abilities to help others around her and comes to believe she's a fairy put on Earth to fulfill a mission. Meanwhile, a scientist studying extraterrestrials who's been tracking her movements discovers there may indeed be something out of this world about his winsome subject.
