Lola & Billy the Kid

Seventeen-year-old Murat (Baki Davrak) begins to realize he's gay and feels torn between his repressive Muslim family and his new emotions. He flees his home and soon connects with transvestite Lola (Gandi Mukli) and Lola's boyfriend, Bilidikid (Erdal Yildiz). As it happens, Lola and Murat are related, and while the teen tries to come to terms with his feelings, more family secrets spill out in this 1999 Berlin Film Festival winner.
