Humbert Humbert (James Mason) is uncontrollably attracted to jailbait teen Lolita (Sue Lyon) and knows no good can come of his pursuit. But, driven by passion and desire, he continues his dangerous seduction -- despite overwhelming reasons to stop. Peter Sellers co-stars as Humbert's nemesis, Clare Quilty, in director Stanley Kubrick's artful adaptation of the controversial novel by Russian writer Vladimir Nabokov.
