When small-town youth Chen Xiang learns that his mother was a fairy who fell in love with his mortal father -- a crime for which other fairies have now imprisoned her -- he vows to harness his emerging supernatural powers and rescue his immortal mom. But if he hopes to succeed, Chen must also learn to use the mysterious Lotus Lantern with the help of a fox spirit. This Chinese television series is based on an ancient fable.
