Country music star Hank Williams Jr. hosts this look at the "Louisiana Hayride," the radio program that showcased up-and-coming country artists from 1948-58. The weekly show featured influential Shreveport artists the likes of Hank Williams Sr., Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton and George Jones. This documentary captures the magic of the "Hayride" through old photographs, film clips and live transcriptions of radio show recordings.
