A remarkable tale of love, separation, idealism and freedom. The story follows two Hungarians, Jansci and Kata, from their childhood in pre-World War II Budapest, through communist uprisings in the 1950s, to a post-revolution life apart, to a final encounter in France that forces the lovers to face an ultimatum: recognize their mutual bond and reignite their passion or forever remain apart.
