After a first-season stunner that found Lovejoy (Ian McShane) traveling to Venice to investigate the death of a friend and getting himself arrested, the rumpled antiques dealer returns to England to sell his wares and solve crimes on his home turf. Convinced that he was set up in Italy, Lovejoy vows to find those responsible and make them pay for the time he served. But that doesn't derail him from making several romantic conquests.
