French silent film pioneer Abel Gance directs this 1935 classic about Lucrezia Borgia, her brother, Cesare. and her father, Pope Alexander VI -- one of history's most ruthless and ambitious crime families. Also included are two of Gance's rarely seen silent film shorts -- "La Folie Du Docteur Tube" (1916) and "Au Secours!" (1923) -- about a doctor who discovers a sneezing powder and another man's adventures in a haunted house.
