Shortly after Nanoha's friend, Fate, is exonerated on the charges that connected her to the Lost Logia case, the girls are called back into action to thwart a devastating plot launched by the villainous Hayate and the Velka Knights. Intent on filling the pages of the Book of Darkness, the menacing knights set out to steal the powers of each and every magical being they can find.
