While living a quiet life with his foster mother (Seetha) and two sisters, vegetable grocer Madurey (Vijay) does battle with the local loan shark (Raj Kapoor) and finds romance with research student Anitha (Rakshita). But as the couple's love begins to grow, a policeman inadvertently exposes a dark secret from Madurey's past. Vadivelu plays Madurey's assistant, and Sonia Agarwal shines in a small role in this action-packed Tamil tale.
