In this memorable 2003 concert, Claudio Abbado leads the Lucerne Festival Orchestra through Austrian conductor-composer Gustav Mahler's climatic masterwork, Symphony No. 2 in C Minor, "Resurrection." The result is an expert interpretation of the symphony's five dramatic movements: "Allegro Maestoso," "Andante Moderato," "In Ruhig Fliessender Bewegung," "Urlicht (Aus 'Des Knaben Wunderhorn')" and "Im Tempo des Scherzos."
