Conductor Claudio Abbado leads the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra in this performance of Gustav Mahler's "Symphony No. 7," also known as "The Song of the Night." An acclaimed Mahler conductor, Abbado shows his mastery of the composer's works and brings out the best in his soloists, including violinists Kolja Blacher and Wolfram Christ, clarinettist Sabine Meyer, oboist Albrecht Mayer and cellist Natalia Gutman.
