Attorney Jack Avery (Robert Logan) has everything he's ever wanted: a lovely wife, a magnificent house and a thriving career. But when he comes home from a business trip to find his mansion burnt to embers and his wife presumed dead, he retreats from life as he knows it. Soon, however, the police begin to suspect that Jack is responsible for the disappearance of a child, and his only hope is a local woman who's convinced of his innocence.
