A man's life is thrown into utter chaos by the simple act of going to the bank in Ousmane Sembene's amusing tale. Down-and-out Ibrahim (Makhouredia Gueye) receives some much-needed financial aid from his nephew, but hits one bureaucratic roadblock after another as he tries to convert the money order to cash. Ibrahim wrangles with ridiculous rules, corrupt officials and crazy relatives, unaware that his nephew is purposely causing his problems.
