In Punjab, India, when an army officer falls for a local girl, their romance leads to marriage. The couple's happily-ever-after ending is destroyed, however, when the woman dies in childbirth and another woman steals the baby. Things go from bad to worse when the officer is sent to jail. After serving his sentence, the officer resumes his search for his daughter in this fact-based tale of love and betrayal from director Gurbir S. Grewal.
