Gene Hackman plays a French Foreign Legion major assigned to protect an archeological expedition in Morocco -- despite harboring reservations about what he sees as "grave robbing" -- in this star-studded adventure film from director Dick Richards. Ian Holm portrays the fiery Arab leader whose wrath the group incites, and Max von Sydow plays the leader of the dig. Catherine Deneuve, Terence Hill and Jack O'Halloran also star.
