Aspiring author Rob Hanisey (Tyron Leitso) has just moved in to Highberger House, a place for struggling writers to live until they're published. He repeatedly encounters a mysterious woman named Valerie (Clare Grant), who pleads with him to save her from an unseen force. Meanwhile, his neighbors, including the eccentric Everett (Christopher Lloyd), seem to know more than they're letting on about who -- or what -- Valerie really is.
