Big changes are afoot in the fifth season of this popular crime series from the 1970s about police commissioner Stewart "Mac" McMillan (Rock Hudson) and his precocious wife, Sally (Susan Saint James), the biggest of which is that Sally is killed in an airplane crash. In the wake of Sally's death, Mac also hires a new maid to replace Mildred (Nancy Walker, who left the series to star in her own show): Mildred's sister Agatha (Martha Raye).
