Concert violinists Marcel (André Dussollier) and Pierre (Pierre Arditi) are lifelong friends. While Marcel has achieved success with his art, Pierre has settled into family life with his beautiful wife, Romaine (Sabine Azéma). Can the violinists' friendship survive when infidelity enters the picture? Legendary director Alain Resnais helms this adaptation of a 1929 Henri Bernstein play.
