Daniel (Mark Lester) and Melody (Tracy Hyde) are 10-year-olds who fall in love and decide to get married. Despite their parents' opposition and jealous disapproval from Daniel's best friend, Ornshaw (Jack Wild), the two are determined to get hitched as soon as possible. Featuring music by the Bee Gees, this British tale of first love is Alan Parker's (Midnight Express) first script and David Puttnam's (Chariots of Fire) first production.
