Men of San Quentin

  (1942)
An ambitious prison guard (J. Anthony Hughes) attempts to make some changes when he's promoted and named the new warden. But the prisoners don't take kindly to a shake-up in the system, and the guard's skills are put to the test when a riot breaks out. Convicts in the San Quentin prison orchestra play the opening theme song of this riveting jailhouse drama written by Martin Mooney, a former reporter who actually served time in the Big House.
