Poverty-stricken Ajay (Dharmendra) and his mother inherit a large sum of money from Ajay's uncle, and they intend to use it to build roads and a school for their hometown of Sundergarh. But when Ajay learns that his cunning cousin Sarjuprasad (Shreeram Lagoo) is misappropriating the funds, he confronts the thief. Sarjuprasad then discredits Ajay. Will Sarjuprasad succeed, or will the truth come out and Ajay's named be cleared?
