Aspiring clown Raju (Raj Kapoor) decides to pursue the path of his dead father, a famous circus clown loved by all, in this drama, which follows Raju from childhood through his training, triumphs and heartbreaks. The legendary Kapoor also directed this 1970 gem, casting his son Rishi in the role of young Raju. Dharmendra portrays the circus owner, and Simi Garewal, Padmini and Kseniya Ryabinkina play Raju's love interests.
