Just as in real-life medical facilities, nurses form the core of Mercy Hospital, the setting of this NBC drama that focuses on three of Mercy's primary care givers: nurses Veronica Callahan (Taylor Schilling), Sonia Jimenez (Jaime Lee Kirchner) and Chloe Payne (Michelle Trachtenberg). Traumas both inside the hospital and out abound for the nurses and their colleagues, including hospital newbie Dr. Chris Sands (James Tupper).
