Down on his luck, Sir John Falstaff (Leon Charles) sets out to seduce and then blackmail two married women (Gloria Grahame and Valerie Seelie-Snyder) in this highly accessible production of Shakespeare's comedy, with sets and costumes in the play's original 16th-century style. When mistresses Page and Ford receive almost identical love letters from Falstaff, they unite in a scheme to get revenge on the portly knight.
