Based on the work of writer Brett Halliday, this series of B-movie crime films stars Lloyd Nolan as hard-boiled gumshoe Michael Shayne. In this collection, Shayne's accused of murder, protects a key witness on a perilous train ride, battles war-profiteering diamond smugglers and debunks a fake spiritualist. Marjorie Weaver, Mary Beth Hughes, Lynn Bari and TV's first Superman, George Reeves, also star.
