Middle of the Night

Award-winning scriptwriter Paddy Chayevsky penned this romantic drama that chronicles the love affair between a widowed clothing manufacturer (Fredric March, in a Golden Globe-nominated performance) and one of his much younger employees (Kim Novak). The difficulties of engaging in a workplace romance notwithstanding, the unlikely couple also runs up against familial objections and the challenges presented by the 30-year difference in their ages.
