Beneath the picturesque facade of the English village of Midsomer lie some very dark secrets that call for the singular talents of the thoughtful, witty and methodical Detective Chief Inspector Barnaby (John Nettles). In this installment, feisty pensioner Isobel Hewitt is accused of assault by a fellow fly-fisher. When Barnaby and his young partner, Troy, investigate the allegations, they discover that all is not well on the Midsomer riverbanks.
