Chief Inspector Barnaby (John Nettles) and Sgt. Scott (John Hopkins) have another tough case on their hands when horse trainer Bruce Hartley (Simon Kunz) turns up dead after promising to reveal the reason his father mysteriously bequeathed a thoroughbred to four Midsomer residents. As more murders occur and the horse falls ill, the detectives delve deep into the hidden secrets of the aristocracy in their efforts to track down the killer.
