"Dead Letters" is an episode from the acclaimed British television mystery series based on Caroline Graham's novels, which follow the life and work of Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby (John Nettles). With help from his sidekick, Detective Constable Ben Jones (Jason Hughes), Barnaby investigates the mysterious drowning of a former festival queen's mother during Midsomer Barton's annual Oak Apple Week.
