When Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby (John Nettles) learns that his favorite rock band is reuniting to play the Midsomer Rock festival, he thinks he's died and gone to heaven -- until he realizes that the band members are on track to beat him there. With the lead singer growing justifiably more paranoid as one member croaks on stage and another is found dead in a swimming pool, Barnaby must figure out who doesn't want the reunion to happen.
