Miles Davis: Miles Electric: A Different Kind of Blue
(2004)|
Filmmaker Murray Lerner deftly traces the evolution of visionary jazzman Miles Davis, who in the late 1960s began to enhance his sound with amped-up keyboards, guitars and funk rhythms, resulting in a seminal change in the musical genre. Lerner supplements the narrative with an uncut performance of Davis' awesome gig at the 1970 Isle of Wight festival. Included are interviews with Davis and contemporaries such as Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock.
