The choreography of Marius Petipa guides the dancers of Russia's world-renowned Mariinsky Ballet in this mesmerizing 2006 performance of Ludwig Minkus's "Don Quixote," a work loosely based on the classic tale by Miguel de Cervantes. Vladimir Ponomarev dances the title role of the windmill-chasing Don Quixote, with Olesya Novikova performing the part of Kitri and Mariinsky principal Leonid Sarafanov playing the role of her lover, Basilio.
