Herman Melville's masterpiece gets a vivid new production in this 1998 television miniseries. Henry Thomas is Ishmael, and Patrick Stewart is Captain Ahab, the man obsessed with catching the white whale. Gregory Peck won a Supporting Actor Golden Globe Award for his final role as Father Mapple (he was Ahab in the 1956 version). The miniseries also received Emmy nominations for Best Miniseries and Best Actor (Stewart).
