Three friends -- a street-wise Samaritan (Akshaye Khanna), an aspiring chanteuse (Madhuri Dixit) and a wealthy playboy (Sanjay Kapoor) -- must pick up the pieces of their shattered love triangle when one of them (Khanna) falls victim to a gang of thugs. Overwhelmed with grief, the fragile singer first loses her voice and then turns to her surviving friend for comfort. To protect her from further heartache, he conceals his terminal illness.
