When plucky teen Moondance (Kay Panabaker) finds a lost pony named Checkers, she immediately feels a bond with him. Convinced that he's a champion jumper, Moondance persuades Checkers' owner (Don Johnson) into training the two of them for the Bow Valley Classic. Based on a true story, this touching family drama from director and co-writer Michael Damian also stars James Best and Lori Loughlin.
