A recent college graduate (Klaus Grunberg) hitchhikes from Germany to Paris and finds the warm embrace of an American expatriate (Mimsy Farmer) and heroin addict. The two then chase the sun to Ibiza, where they begin a sordid relationship with the island's leading drug dealer. Barbet Schroeder's directorial debut portrays the ideas and emotions behind a lifestyle of destructive excess, set to a mindbending Pink Floyd soundtrack.
