After the death of her lawyer husband, Alan, Susan Fredricks (Libby Hudson) learns he was making his living dubiously by representing one of the city's biggest crime bosses, Richard Corliss (Miles O'Keeffe). But Alan apparently had a change of heart and was planning to work with police to build a case against his employer. When Susan uncovers evidence of Corliss' shady dealings, she finds herself in danger of becoming the mobster's next victim.
