Rome's famed Teatro Quirino celebrates Mozart's 250th birthday with gusto, serving up a lively production of the composer's comic opera about a theater director who finds it surprisingly difficult to choose the main performers for an upcoming show. Paolo Briguglia shares the stage with soprano Maria Dragoni, who plays one of two eager aspirants caught in a neck-and-neck competition for the lead role.
