Under the baton of conductor James Levine, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra adds its glorious sound to this 1984 performance of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera "La Clemenza di Tito." Chronicling the unsuccessful assassination attempt on Roman Emperor Tito's life, the production (filmed for PBS) stars tenor Eric Tappy as the monarch, mezzo-soprano Tatiana Troyanos as the conflicted Sesto and soprano Carol Neblett as Vitellia.
