After Jack (Michael Keaton) is informed by a co-worker (Jeffrey Tambor) that his job at the car factory has been furloughed, Caroline (Teri Garr) goes to work for Ron (Martin Mull) at an advertising agency, leaving the kids -- Alex (Frederick Koehler), Kenny (Taliesin Jaffe) and baby Megan -- in Jack's care. Helping him get used to vacuuming, soap operas, school drop-offs and grocery stores is flirty Joan (Ann Jillian) and Annette (Miriam Flynn).
