Mr. Ace

"Beautiful women and politics don't mix." Or so says Eddie Ace (George Raft), a crooked political boss bent on sabotaging Margaret Wyndham Chase (Sylvia Sidney) in her bid for governor. But Chase fights Ace's dirty manipulations with some honest, above-the-table methods of her own, which ultimately make him fall in love with her. As the story unfolds, we find out whether their affair -- and Chase's campaign -- will triumph.
