In 1923, middle-aged Clarissa Dalloway (Vanessa Redgrave) prepares for a party, and as she does, she reflects on the events that have shaped her life. A young Clarissa (Natascha McElhone) makes her choice between two men, the steadfast Richard Dalloway (John Standing) and sparkling Peter Walsh (Michael Kitchen). Did Clarissa choose wisely?
