When a motley crew of criminals needs cash, their leader, Digambar (Vijay Raaz), enlists the expertise of an ex-stuntman who calls himself Mumbai Xpress (Kamal Hassan) -- a man who's been out of work since the circus closed down. But the criminals' plan to kidnap the son of a wealthy builder (Saurabh Shukla) goes awry when they take off with the wrong boy -- the illegitimate son of a police officer (Om Puri) and his mistress (Manisha Koirala).
