While in India for a wedding, Indian Canadian Davinder Samra (Anita Majumdar) shares a secret relationship with dashing rickshaw driver Surinder (Chenier Hundal). But when her ambitious family hears of the caste-crossing romance, they hire assassins to get revenge. The stirring "Romeo and Juliet" tale is based on the shocking true story of the so-called "honor killing" of Canadian beautician Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu.
