Not only does smart-but-hapless, Washington D.C.-based journalist Murphy Brown (Candice Bergen) have to anchor the nightly news, she also has to hire a secretary and persuade her house painter (Robert Pastorelli) to finish the job in Season 1 of this classic sitcom. Amidst the chaos, Murphy finds support from her colleagues: stoic Jim (Charles Kimbrough), perky Corky (Faith Ford), insecure Frank (Joe Regalbuto) and earnest Miles (Grant Shaud).
