After recently relocating to New York in pursuit of a promising rock 'n' roll career, Alan (Justin Rice) finds himself attracted to Ellie (Rachel Clift) -- who just happens to be an old buddy's girlfriend. Director Andrew Bujalski's (Funny Ha Ha) insightful comedy chronicles the uncomfortable courtships and candid conversations among twentysomething Brooklynites stumbling their way through life and love in the urban jungle.
