In Korean director Seong-kang Lee's animated fantasy, young Nam-woo lives in a seaside village with his widowed mother and ailing grandmother. On the cusp of adolescence, Nam-woo's overwhelmed by changes in his life and retreats into a dream world. He explores the wonders of this other world with an ethereal and mysterious girl, Mari. Although initially an escape, the enchanted realm eventually helps the youth cope with his real-life troubles.
