Headed by malcontent dentist Ben (Robert Lindsay) and control-freak tour guide Susan (Zoë Wanamaker), the Harper family of Chiswick, West London, continue to hone their skills as masters of domestic warfare and familial dysfunction. Susan has a hard time adjusting to becoming a grandmother, while Nick tries to scheme his way back into the increasingly crowded Harper home. Meanwhile, the chaos in his home life starts to permeate Ben's practice.
